08 Oct 08 Adding Manual Sitemap to your Wordpress as a Page
Search engines send spiders and crawlers to our blogs/websites to index in their search engines. Everyone knows that, but what everyone doesn’t know is the trick to keep your spiders and crawlers coming back and index your site/blog.
For all my readers, I will publish two methods for sitemap, one is manual sitemap which is actually feeding the inbound links contents to spiders/crawlers all at once and another one is XML generator google sitemap, which i will publish in the future.
Please bare in mind that, whatever I install or integrate in my InfoMM.com blog, I actually installed, experienced and compose these articles, so if you have any hurdles or issues with it, please comment here, so that I can learn and help new visitors better.
Ok, in wordpress, you can add several pages as your sub-section, and I use a manual sitemap as my additional page. The general nature of the web spiders and web crawlers will visit the page when you submitted, for example, http://infomm.com/sitemap/, it is my sitemap (actually I just list them alphabetically for visitors to sort under most related categories),
For spiders and crawlers, they will visit the root (main) page and start gathering information and building the inbound/outbound links and their relevancy to the topic I am discussing about. Your absolutely unrelated links may be discounted whereas your relevant information will be added and ranked possibly higher in search results.
So, my solution is simple, I just list all my articles under a single page, and I only submit the particular URL once, then, i will always be getting bots and spiders frequently to monitor my web-page activities. All you need is just add “One Article with its respective link”, and you are successfully complete with most of the search engines forever once you submitted one time. Your unnecessary web promotion time will be easily eliminated and you can allocate your valuable time on something else in order to create wealth or pleasure.
Good? I think it is very effective and great webmasters actually recommend this. So, I shall say the same.
