These days, I am a regular reader rather than a blogger. It is because writing a blog can be sometimes time consuming. Besides, I have been relocating countries and it took about 6 months of my regular blogging habits. So, Yes, I will have to practice to blog again.

To be honest, nowadays, I like to read and review other sites because I find that facinating for other bloggers who have been brilliant with their blogs. I would not rather get an idea or copy/paste other people work, but I actually like to share with what I read, because some of the blogs may not be in your reach while I have done my SEO/SEM works, So, at least, this will reach out to my readers as well.. As you know reviewing is one of my interests while I am blogging.

Today, I read about the title 10 Things Your Blog Doesn’t Need. And It is simple but yet fantastic read, so that you will enjoy like I did.

08 Jan 09 New HP netbook with 8 hours on single battery charge

HP, the giant computer company, announced that they will release new netbook that can be used for full office hours on a single battery charge. That is very cool news for 9-5 people like me because it will enable them to work not only longer hours without charging the battery, it will also help frequently travellers to use the netbook longer than ever.

Mainly targeted for business users, HP 2140 is another type of netbook, which won many fans because of its operatability, low cost and extreme portability. 

 

I think this series will challenge the likes of Acer Aspire ONE and those other netbook models. This will improve the heat releasing system from previous version 2133 with 10 inches displa.  LCD widescreen display that can be set for a resolution of either 1024-by-576 or 1366-by-768. The 2.6-lb. machine also includes a built-in Wi-Fi connection, and customers can choose between a 160GB disk drive or an 80GB solid-state drive.

 

The finish is fantastic and the processor is 1.2 Ghz Via C7M processor and it looks fantastic. This HP beauty can offer several operating systems including Novell Inc.’s SUSE Linux, the Home and Professional versions of Windows XP, and Windows Vista Home Basic or Business.

Nowadays, everyone is talking about cuil search engine, yes, it is pretty much popular lately. Because Cuil could be the next big thing in Search Engine world. It may not compete well with Big 3 (Google, Yahoo and MSN Live), however, Cuil (pronounced “cool“) is definitely shaking and making the headlines. 

Cuil’s bots are pretty active around. However, google webmaster tools & google analysis do not mention cuil’s search engine bots, and I have no idea why. I feel a bit angry that Google sometimes do not display truthful information regarding other search engines in their webmaster tools and google analysis. But one of my forums has cuil bots visiting almost everyday now. However, CUIL’s search relevancy is not up to the standard of Google, I must admit, however, it is good to get indexed your site with CUIL because you never know what’s going to happen in next 10 years, Last 10 years ago, we use Yahoo! as our main search engine, a decade later on, we all use “google”, don’t we? I remember when i watched the movie “Frequency”, Yahoo! was used, but now, in the movie “knocked up”, Google was used. So, get your site indexed with this cool “Cuil.com”.

Ok, what is Cuil?

It is said to be biggest search engine on the planet, already indexed 124 billion pages as of today, October 2008. The biggest question for webmasters, make money online and work from home people is here. Where do we submit it?

Well, here is where you can submit to CUIL service. So, If you would like Cuil to crawl your site and have it included in our index, please submit your site here. And get your site indexed.

Twiceler is the name of CUIL’s robot Web crawler. So, Keep in mind that the user-agent is “twiceler.” For small sites are bandwidth-limited, so CUIL also support the robots.txt Crawl-delay directive. 

So, here is the website that you can generate your robots.txt file and put it in your root folder of your blog or website.

If you are SEO (Search Engines Optimization) oriented person, you may already know the essence of Tell-A-Friend script. Many tell a friend scripts are available, but for wordpress users, this is the most comprehensive and fantastic one available, I have been using this and so should you. 

Tell-A-Friend script is very effective way of gettings more readers, I am always happy to have many readers on my blog because it will make me energy to write and share with you all more. It is a great feeling as well. I also subscribe to real great material websites as well. As long as you are getting some knowledge instead of emails that are trying to sell products or services. Tell a friend script will help you gain even higher readers for your blog, or visitors for your website. 

I would like to introduce you with Tell A Friend plug-in from wordpress. It is so powerful, you can use many well-known email providers, and it is not spamming because you just don’t suggest to random address, rather, you would email to the persons you know. Moreover, this one has optional social bookmarking sites that will also allow visitors to have complete freedom of what they want to do. Better yet, you can also use at “add to favorites” function.

4. You are ready, check the ‘share this post’ button after your posts. If you see this icon photo below, it means you have successfully installed the Tell-A-Friend plugin . That’s all and your plug-in is up and running.

15 Oct 08 Learn How Not to Get Banned from Google AdSense

Well, this is probably not very new topic for you. However, I still would like to discuss from my point of view and a few solutions that you can prevent from getting banned from Google AdSense Online Advertising and Publishing Program.

Okay, I am a member at Digital Point Forums, the place is like a gateway to the Webmaster A-to-Z knowledge, I have seen brilliant guys and ladies helping each other over there. I learned a lot of things I have never ever known of. And to the irony, I notice something everyday, It’s like “My site got banned from Google” or “My site is no longer indexed in Google”, It is like having a breakfast every morning for me, Because when I login to digital point, that’s what i see every morning.

I know we loving reading, but not really what it comes to reading things like terms & conditions and TOS and disclaimers and copyright and oh, the list goes on and on. Absolutely, you don’t need to read all those boring things but all you need is just follow these proper procedures & you will never need to read boring stuff.

1. Use Unique content (I have mentioned of this several times already LOL)
2. Must have at least 20 unique content pages of your site (This is more about getting approval instead of ban, but unique content pages are always a plus)
3. Don’t use Hidden Texts or change the codes given (Using small display texts and load with rich keywords)
4. Do not use bots or click frauds (Do not cheat, because all the potential fraud clicks and counts will be refunded back to original Advertiser, Think of yourself as an advertiser, you will love to have targeted audience with true human visitors, so As a publisher, treat the same as how you would like to be treated)
5. Use the AdSense approved formats only (You have several formats to display, more than enough, but don’t be super-smart, you will be banned)
6. Don’t click on your own ads (everyone needs to know, that’s very important and tempting sometimes when you see the ads, of course you can click other ads when you really are surfing, but keep in mind, no clicking on your ads, not even ONCE, period), It has been well documented one person was banned having click twice his ads within 24 hours, so keep your hands away from your own ADS.
7. Don’t do overkill Ads placement on a single page, 3 Ad Links or 3 Ad Units. Besides, it will decrease your conversion rate and 90% of visitors hate full of ads page. (Simply follow Goggle’s rules)
8. Don’t display similar Ads as Google (Keep in mind that you have to satisfy the big guy Google, don’t mess up with similar ads such as Adbrite text ads on the left and Adsense on the right)
9. Never tell/write in your contents anyone to encourage, persuade, push or trick to click your ads, you will get banned. (Google use several variations and conditions to check your page content and relevancy, check out my article about Google and its technology, you will be amazed how smart their search engines and hypertext analysis methods are)
10. Use single Google account to maintain several websites/AdSense Channels. It is a must, if you have 100 websites, you can still use your singleaccount@gmail.com, don’t do multiple accounts for multiple sites. (This is also help you to protect identify theft and will save a lot of time for Google to make a quick payment, meaning, we all get money faster)
11. If you want to label them, use “sponsored links” or “advertisements”, other keywords are not allowed. (Don’t make labels like NGO supported, donation welcome or me love you long time, in this case, you will be banned and your arse will be burned)
12. Never launch a new page in new windows if you are linking inbound links. (That is multiple pages pressuring visitors to click your ads, and that is wrong, all inbound links, do not open in a new window)
13. Use Ads on content pages (don’t create blank page with ads, you will be banned, don’t create copy/paste materials all the time, you will be banned, don’t use terrible design & layout, you won’t be banned, but many people hate them )
14. Do not try to cover ads elements, you see like “google ads” >> << things like that, don’t try to hide them under something and don’t try to trick Google. (You will be banned. Google nicely allows you to use different background color to fit in with your content pages. Yes, use Blend, it will fit in nicely most of the times)
15. Check your contents all the time. Don’t just throw cheap contents just to make your site stuff. Always aware of your contents. That’s very important. (Of course, your contents should be free of pornographic, hate-related, violent, or illegal content)
16. Don’t over advertise your ads. (Google allows you to enter relevant keywords, but don’t over do with rich keywords again)
17. Do not trick with images and texts of ads. (Trying to portray like images and texts are related in order to make visitors to click, you will be banned)
18. My Site PR7 PageRank for sale (Don’t try to sell pagerank, it is not a right, it’s a privilege, so don’t screw yourself, since your site has good PageRank, it’s even better for Google to trace your activities, oops, you have done a lot of great SEO works and everything you write, Google will find out faster than the potential buyers)
19. Don’t do link farms with Adsense. (Search engine crawlers hate link farms, so make sure who you are connected to, be relevant with your discussion as well, experts said if you have more than 100 links in a page, that is very likely your site creditability will be low and maybe exclude or discount you from page ranking system, heard the stories of PR5 to PR2 in 2 days?)
20. Make sure there is NO pop-up ads or pop-under ads on your site (that’s another “How to Get banned from Google AdSense in a 24 hours guide book”, just kidding)
21. Provide a good environment for advertisers (They are paying money to you, so be nice, be informative when you give out facts, be true to visitors, so Google can assign related ads to your sites, don’t worry about the keywords rate, once you are true to your visitors, you always get rewarded).
22. Be Alerted and Active (Always update your current emails if Google sent u important emails, some people got banned because they don’t response on time and not follow the Google guidelines within given period)
23. Don’t use black hat SEO and Pay-To-Click services around your site. Be square and Be Fair to honest people who uses SEO methods honestly and advertisers who want to get their products or services known.

Well, I don’t so smartly come up with all these great suggestions all by myself even though I read whatever it is necessary to create this post.
