18 Jun 09 How to get better indexing with Twitter posts

Lately, I have been using this service, Twitoaster.com, for my tweets. It is really awesome service and I actually enjoy using it. It can actually track your twitter discussion, hence whoever replies to your tweets, will get indexed in Twitoaster.com.

How does it work?

As usual, it is basically an external API, so when you login at twitoaster, simply use your twitter login and password there, and that’s it. It will actually index all your replies, retweets that are in public timeline.

What’s the catch?

Why do we create accounts on facebook, friendster, myspace, twitter, digg, technorati? It is basically understandable that they give you traffic, search ability and special add-on functions that you can actually link back to your blog, profiles, websites, etc. Twitoaster can index your tweets, RTs, therefore, in a marketing point of view, when you post a URL in your tweets and someone replies you, your URL will get indexed which is good for extra traffic when someone search as many of internet marketer uses twitter to gain more traffic. Google index pretty quick with Twitoaster and I sometimes found my tweets while I search some of the keywords I posted in Twitter. That means, you don’t need extra time to input your tweets to be seen, not only in twitter, but also in Google, Yahoo! and MSN Live.

Usability

It is similar to blog commenting and it works with the feed, so, it is extremely easy to use and very user friendly, whatever you post in Twitoaster will be posted in Twitter, but it is not very good to spam because you have limits to use external APIs in Twitter, nevertheless, if you post something really good in 140 characters, it is possible that you will get some replies and that will actually make your tweets easily found and more popular not only in Twitter, but also in the web.

So, give it a try at Twitoaster.com and tell me what you think.

Have a good one.

27 Nov 08 Create more traffic with Yahoo! Answers

There are alot of sites that are receiving several traffic from many different sources. If you have Google Analytics or Yahoo! Site Explorer or MSN Live webmaster center, you will be able to analyse how has your website been accepting traffic. One of the most important thing about analysing the website is to understand how you get traffic to your site and which sources have potential more in the future.

This is how we generate more traffic and more traffic, for example, in wordpress, I have posted one entry about how we can install google analytics on wordpress as a plugin. Ok, enough with the small talk.

Yahoo! Answers

Yahoo! Answers

Recently, I have been testing my Yahoo! Answers account which I created over 2 years ago, I used to help and answer a lot of questions in the past and I felt like it is time to test my traffic on Yahoo! Answers for a change. So, I went back and answered a few questions and put my website InfoMM.com in the resources where relevant, not very surprisingly, I have been receiving quite a lot of traffic from Yahoo! Answers. I think it is very good if you are selling some products or services, you may be able to get more traffic than you may expected. Of course, you need patience to earn respectable traffic. You won’t get 1000 unique visitors in a week, but you might get close to it depending on your luck and niche.

So, the bottom line is, for driving good traffic, you need to know the relevancy and niche in order to succeed. For example, if you are selling iPod, I think Yahoo! Answers is pretty nice place to start with. You can probably get hundreds of visitors a week. Or if you are selling pet accesseries online, because they are very frequent and many questions have been asking every single day.

So, if you think your niche could fit in Yahoo! Answers, without spamming, LOL, then, go ahead and expand your web traffic more than ever.

Cheers for reading. :)
