Want to get Twitter followers efficiently? These are some of the facts you actually do not be able to find. Because I do experience myself in order to share my knowledge to you. Not to take some points from other people’s work. And yes, I do things slowly, but do it right to make the best out of it.

But you will not definitely find my post short cut or gain 20,000 followers within a week, but you will have steady increase number of followers, let’s say 50-100 members of followers a day if you build a good relationship with your followers.

Things you can’t easily find out on Google search about Twitter?

You can see thousands of blog articles written online, but when you hit 2000 following, not followers, you are stuck.. Why? because twitter put limits on following at 2000, unless your followers are properly ratioed. I am shocked to learn that internet gurus hardly talk about twitter limit. Twitter marketing?

Twitter is probably one of the hottest tool for internet marketing people. I do little bit of marketing for my websites, but never spam on your status. The point is you have 140 characters to do marketing on your status, the more follower, the better chance that they will see your status quite intriguing and click your URL (your URL can be shorten, meaning, no matter how long your blog post or URL is, it will actually be reduced to 18-20 characters). Moreover, you can actually hide if you are posting affiliate links, so that drives you more possible sales conversion as well. So, be wise for your 140 characters and make use of best possible punch line.

Twitter following and followers?

You will probably see have 15,000 followers in 3 weeks or I make 20k followers in 1 month thing around. My suggestion is not to spend a dime and get consistent and real followers for you. Remember, more than 50% of twitter members follow to get followers consequently can broadcast our status to the followers. It is neither geo-targeted nor niche-targeted. But always keep in mind, people want to build up relationships in Twitter, simple build up your relationship with your followers and following members.

Follow me, follow you attitude. I always try to follow anyone who followed me. This is the right way to build up relationship with your followers. Of course, some people cannot follow you back right away because they probably reach twitter limits and stuck with following limits. Some people may not actually follow you permanently too. But that’s okay, you win some, you lose some. But once you build a good relationship to anyone, it does not matter, you will slowly build your Twitter network stronger than ever. Here comes the most important thing, you would want to build your list slowly, so that you will not be stuck with twitter limits. So, make sure you follow like 100 members a day. Next day, you keep your following. Even you have 1000 following limits, you can actually get stuck if your following and follower ratio is not propotionate. So, follow properly, but not aggresively. While following maintain good relationship and RT other tweets, so that people will actually get to know you.

I made a lot of friends in Twitter, I barely know, But If someone Tweet such as “Share me some of your SEO tools”, and I just gave back RT (re-tweet) or DM (direct message).. In a couple of hours, i will get “thanks for the tools”, etc etc.

Nevermind about too many interests?

No, people don’t mind, they want what they want to. Sometimes, I tweet about myself. Once I tweet, This is so boring day, I will definitely get back “same here”, “rainy day and sleepy”, in a couple of minutes. Sometimes, direct to my Twitter login. That’s how you create your relationship, Now, I even search blogs on Twitter rather than Google, because you get more filtered as people would share or announce some good articles. When you focus on marketing alone, I don’t think it gives you real joy of using twitter. I gained heaps of friends in Basketball tweets, but never disappointed in my SEO/SEM discussions too.

Requirements for Twitter Members?

No, I am just being cheesy with the subtopics. There’s no requirement needed, but always treat other people with respect and have fun. Don’t just login to share your blog post with alot of URLs. Because many people check out your profile before they add you and when they see very few updates, they know they cannot do any interactive relationship with you and perhaps will not add you in their list. And some people get annoyed by constantly advertising your URL every single update of yours. So, be involved in community while doing your marketing at the same time.

Well, I plan to do free websit reviews about 200 words for free. And yes, and a backlink. I plan to do this because I think it is a good thing and fun to do.

I actually do a little bit of website reviews in the past and It is been good experiences. All you require about free website review is 3 things below. If you think you fit the bill, just put your URL in comment, i will try to do review as much as possible depending on the time and demand.

3 criterias I would require are

1. Your website age is more than 1 year
2. Your PageRank is minimum 3 or more &
3. Regularly updated site with technology and MMO niche.

I asked for these requirements, because I also want to give you quality backlink from mine and also I also would love to point to a great neighbourhood. Remember I enabled do-follow on my site, so that you will actually benefit more and I would. And I also want to experience with Link Building methods too.

Previously, I have posted about viral marketing for online advertising. Now, I want to share a little bit further more about viral marketing and why should we use it in order to drive massive traffic to our websites.

So, cut to the chase, WHY do we use viral marketing techniques?

1. quick to drive traffic (once it’s starting to spread, there’s basically no limit, the message will pick up the speed faster and to the bigger audience)
2. cost effective (once again, no limit, easy to start and cheap to expect the traffic, make sure your site has some to offer for your visitors to become regular)
3. niche gathering (you will eventually find where your niche is headed and your target audience in no time as long as you offer unique content that are original, photographer offers photoblog whereas geek-blog offers all technology news)

Bottom Line, traffic means money, relevant niche means more money, cost effective mean more money. So, what else shall I say?

So, this comes the question, WHAT are the techniques?

1. I am going to repeat this again, provide quality content, products or services. (provide something which is unique for your visitors)
2. Give something away (I would recommend gmail service to my friends because they basically gave away free service for e-mail, don’t they? you gotta offer something so that will create buzz).
3. Recommendation or referral on your site. (something like share this post, email to a friend, etc etc, that will create more buzz because I would really recommend to my friend if a particular website offer something nice)
4. Have some video clips, or free e-book to give away or have a personal blog about your interest on the site (that will also give some kind of expose to your visitors and yes it does really attract traffic)
5. Social bookmarking icons and links (They are basically helping you to bookmark or submit to the sites, either way, they are good for traffic, easy for search engine to index, my personal favorites regarding SEO are reddit, technorati and digg)
6. Use RSS feed or any sort of Feed (Some of my audience like RSS feed because they are firefox fans, some of them love email feed as well, so feedburner or similar service sites can offer, I use feedburner of course, you can set up either RSS feed or email subscription)
7. Do what others do not generally offer (It’s very simple but sometimes it is easily overlooked in many cases, for example, I enabled “do-follow” plugin in my wordpress, which default is “no-follow” for commenters, so I would get more visitors who will want to have do-follow link on my site and will write more comments as well.
8. Run on-site competitions (Many internet gurus are still using this method, and that’s how they get massive traffic and regular visitors)
9. Build a community and relationship with your visitors (Communication is the key to success, if you interact with your visitors, you will build the better relationship between you and your visitors that is very good for long term)

Ok, There are main 9 methods I have tested and experimented in the past and they have created impressive traffic for me.

So, start right now because what I have suggested will cost next to nothing. You can basically start with no-investment methods such as adding referal scripts, RSS setup, email subscriptions and some fabulous content first.

Well, here it is another technique that I am very happy to share. I am big Yahoo! Answers fan. Before, I didn’t really put my website link in Yahoo! answers, but after a while, I tried to put once or twice in a while. And yes, it gives me good traffic, at least, 10-15 unique hits from one answer.

Of course, your answer should be unique, informative and helpful. That’s the most important thing, once they love your answer, they will definitely try to click your website which should be the source of the answer. When I answered about sports, I never put this website as a reference, it will be spamming to the audience and also to Yahoo! and i saw many people got banned for that.

SEO point of view, you will not gain anything as Yahoo! answers is no-follow link, but you get the traffic and mostly targeted traffic, that means, your true audience will read more about your site.

Nowadays, many people abuse and use yahoo answers as a tool and the bans are more frequent, so make sure you do the reference in proper way and relevant niche. Here is my Yahoo Answers account you can view. Remember, do not put too many of your links in your answers especially it’s not relevant to your website and the particular answer. And make sure you get good percentage of BEST Answer. So that people believe and trust in what you explain more. That will also help your traffic as well.

So, here is a good e-book how to get traffic, affiliate sales, or direct sales that depend on your business on Yahoo! Answers. But I definitely tried and got noticeable amount of traffic.

Google has introduced KNOL for sometimes, now they are promoting it. I definitely think KNOL will help all the information seekers better than ever. This is probably another technique of Google’s collection of knowledge base search engine, we could presume.

What is KNOL?

It’s basically units of knowledge written about various subjects. However, as like many google applications, knol is current at a beta stage.

Why should we participate at KNOL?

Many advantages, make yourself exposed to the knowledge based world, information sharing site. You can take credit for writing, provide credentials, reviews and comments. Users can provide comments, review and related information.

What subjects we can write on KNOL?

Well, pretty much everything. LOL

What are common advantages using KNOL?

You can get good back links to your website, that’s pretty good for SEO, but it’s very important you don’t spam the links. You can get credited and for me, the best thing is collaboration mode that many people can work together on a same project/subject which is pretty awesome. I think that idea is derived from online project collaboration sites as Google has capabilities for doing it so such as Google Docs.

What do I think about this?

KNOL for me is basically a combination of blog/search engine/multimedia gateway to all the information retrievers. Being a active participant on google’s main site, you will not only create traffic for your website on your niche, but also will create exposure to your materials. All you need to do is to be original, informative and unique with your content.
